What worst can Happens?
The only point of failure is Tailscale Coordination Server. It only controls the public key distribution of all the nodes in the network. If it fails, either by its own or by an attacker, we loose the power to connect to other peers, hense data can’t be synced.
Thats it. Only Data Syncing issue can accure, No Data Loss, No Data Breach.
Why? / Motivation
The motivation behind Netgres stems from a desire to create a truly Personal password manager. I was using Dashlane. They recently moved to only paid-tier plan, but after seeing authoritative behavior, such as freezing all passwords and not allowing to even copy, made me realize the need for Owning my secrets.
Its an attempt to create a Secret Store, where data never leaves my own devices, fully encrypted, at rest and transit.
